Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Danette developed a deep love for both learning and teaching. She's happily married to her college sweetheart, Derrick, and their union has blessed them with three wonderful princesses and five beloved grandchildren. Her academic journey led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in History from LSU and a Master's in Education with a specialization in reading literacy from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. With 34 years of teaching experience under her belt, she has transitioned out of the traditional classroom but remains fully immersed in the world of education.

Through her work as a workshop facilitator with AFT (Alief Federation of Teachers), her commitment to fostering success in the educational journeys of parents, teachers, and students has only deepened.

Upon leaving the formal school system, Danette discovered that while you can take the teacher out of the classroom, you can't remove the classroom from the teacher's heart. Her passion for teaching continued to flourish, driven by her awareness of the challenges teachers face in their pursuit of positively influencing their students' lives. It was from this longing to continue making an impact in the field of education that NETTE Education Consulting (NEC) was born. NEC is dedicated to effectively delivering educational objectives with a clear purpose, ensuring that all stakeholders experience a profound sense of pride and achievement.
